Autowatch Ghost Immobiliser
The renowned Ghost Immobiliser provides your vehicle with advanced protection against key-cloning hacking, theft and hacking. This TASSA confirmed system is undetectable to thieves and blocks them from starting your vehicle.
This silent device uses buttons located on the steering wheel, centre console, and on the door panels of your vehicle to allow you to create a unique PIN code that can be up to 20 characters that you must enter before the car can start.
Easy to install
With car theft increasing and cloning equipment readily available it is more essential than ever to safeguard your vehicle. Our Autowatch Ghost immobiliser provides a discrete, effective and aftermarket solution to protect against key cloning and vehicle theft. The unit is virtually invisible to thieves, and operates through buttons on the steering wheel or door panels. This enables customers to create a unique disarming sequence like a credit card that must be entered before a vehicle can be started or driven away. This makes it virtually impossible to detect and is not affected by jamming devices or spoofing devices as with other systems.
The installation of the Ghost unit is a highly skilled procedure and should only be completed by an approved installer. The unit is firmly integrated into the CAN bus network of your vehicle, ensuring that it communicates directly with the ECU. The Ghost can be installed without altering the factory settings, and it is not possible for thieves to evade the system by using signal boosters.
When the Ghost is installed the new and improved disarm sequence is required to be inputted in order to turn on your car. This can be done by pressing the service button in your vehicle 5 times within 2 seconds whilst ensuring that it's not pressed for an extended period of time. The system will flash twice to indicate that Transport Mode has been activated. This feature is perfect for classic, sports or prestige vehicles that require their security systems to be temporarily disabled while transport or servicing.
After Transport Mode has been activated, the immobiliser will be disabled and cannot be activated by entering your PIN code again. This feature is ideal for those who wish to store their vehicles during the winter months to protect them from being stolen or to avoid having to pay higher insurance costs.
There aren't any keyfobs, LEDs, or other indicators to help you find it.
The Ghost immobiliser shields your vehicle from theft by pressing buttons on the steering wheel or dashboard. You can enter a pin number without being noticed prior to starting the engine. It prevents attacks on signal relays, ECU swapping and key cloning and can be linked to a phone app to arm/disarm remotely. It's easy to install and can be fitted into a wide range of vehicles. It's also extremely discreet and can be hidden in a hard-to-reach place like behind the dashboard or within the steering wheel trim.
This is a great choice for vehicles with high performance because it can shut off your vehicle's ignition if the wrong pin code has been entered. This prevents thieves from stealing your pride and happiness. The device can send an alert to an iPhone if the vehicle is left unattended in public. This will give you peace of mind when you're away from your vehicle.
Like other immobilisers Ghost doesn't require any extra fobs or LED indicators and can be concealed easily in a hard-to-reach place within your vehicle. It is highly resistant to detection because it is directly connected to the CAN data network of your vehicle. It also doesn't emit any radio signals, so it's not detected by RF scanners, or signal jammers.
It is designed to be tamper-proof and weatherproof. It is also able to be able to withstand extreme temperatures. It is also unaffected by tampering with by cutting the wires or dismantling the device. It is also undetectable by organized gangs of thieves who employ diagnostics reading equipment to detect security systems. It is not affected by diagnostic equipment that examines the CAN data to determine whether there is or absence of a security system.
No circuit cuts
With no LED indications or key fobs to give away its location the ghost device is hidden in your vehicle, underneath the dashboard or on the steering wheel and utilizes buttons inside your car to generate an unique PIN code that has to be entered before the engine can start. The thief is unable to drive away the vehicle even when they have keys to your car because they don't know the correct code. Ghost 2 immobiliser does not transmit radio signals, and therefore organised gangs of thieves using diagnostics reading tools will be unable detect it.
This cutting-edge immobiliser, which is also TASSA-approved can assist you in reducing your insurance costs. This is particularly relevant to vehicles that owners have customized. It also prevents key theft and ECU switching, meaning that the only possible way for a burglar to take your joy and happiness is to tow it away.
The system is completely silent since it does not use the buttons that are found on the dashboard or in the factory keys. It communicates with the ECU by using the CAN data circuit, which is completely silent and doesn't give any indication that it has been installed. This means a thief cannot swap out the ECU or add new key fobs to allow your car to start.
If you ever forget your PIN code our engineers will have provided you with an emergency reset option for the device that allows you to enter 'service mode'. This allows the dealer or technician to temporarily start and drive your vehicle so that they can carry out maintenance work, MOTs, or valet parking without entering the PIN code again. After the technician has completed their work or you have removed your vehicle, simply enter the PIN code and the device will exit service mode dependent on speed and duration.
No radio signals
Unlike many other car security systems, the Ghost immobiliser does not use an alarm system or key fobs to stop vehicles from starting. Instead it communicates with vehicle's ECU and CAN data circuit to prevent the engine from starting. This makes it a discrete solution that is not affected by key cloning or radio frequency scanning techniques employed by thieves to circumvent other security devices. It can be combined with tracking devices to increase the security of your vehicle. You will also be alerted if there is a chance to alter or steal.
The Autowatch Ghost, a TASSA certified device, is insurance approved and offers an excellent level of security against key hacking and copying. It uses a mobile application to control the device and is encrypted to ensure security. It also has an emergency PIN code bypass. It's a quiet, effective and economical way to protect your vehicle from theft.
However the Ghost has its share of issues. One common issue is that users struggle to enter the correct disarm sequence. The device requires input from buttons that are already on your vehicle, such as the ones on the steering column or on the centre console. Some people may find it difficult to remember or make a mistake particularly when the device is being used for the first time. It is best to read the user manual that comes with the device, and practice the disarming process prior to driving.
A second problem is that certain cars have issues with the CAN data connections, which can affect Ghost's functionality. This could be caused due to malfunctioning sensors or damaged OBD connector. It is best to test the system again before you use it in the event that the CAN connection has any issues.
Change the PIN code with ease
The Ghost is an excellent product that has enjoyed a great reception on the market. However changing the pin code can be confusing. The device is programmed by the installer at the moment of installation, but customers may want to change it due to a variety of reasons. For example they may want a different button that disarms the device, or they don't want their installer to know. It is also possible that they not like the pin code they currently have. The good news is the switch to a new pin number is incredibly easy. Follow these easy steps to learn how.
Please note that you must switch on the ignition of your vehicle but DO NOT start the engine! This process only takes a few moments. The vehicle will then return to normal operation.
